Stoney Wes Miller

Stoney Wes Miller was born December 16, 1963 and entered in eternal rest on June 21, 2024 in Visalia, Ca. at the age of 60.

            Stoney was born to James and Dorothy Miller in Exeter, CA. His parents moved the family to Farmersville later that year where he attended Hester and Snowden schools, and later Exeter Union High School. He resided in Farmersville most of his adult life until later moving to live with various family members through his later years.

            Stoney’s greatest joy in life was “Serving the Lord!” He attended the First Jesus Name Church of Cameron Creek for many years, and enjoyed attending services with Bro Stephen Young.

            Stoney grew up going to the mountains attending Dog Trails, coon hunting, and deer hunting with his grandfather, father, and cousins. The mountains were his “Happy Place”! He was always ready to go look for the “Big One”! Oh, the stories he shared with his family, friends, cousins, and nieces and nephews, really anyone who would listen. HaHa! You know, the tales of the ones that “got away” and the “Not so lucky ones”! His love and knowledge of the guns and animals and respect for God’s creation will continue to live through his family and friends.

            Stoney was preceded in death by both his parents James and Dorothy Miller, his brother, J.E., and brother-in-law Raymond Hopper. He is survived by his two sisters, Diana Hopper (Raymond), and Virginia DuVall (Michael), both of Visalia, Ca. his sister-in-law Laura Miller of Benton, Arkansas. Many nieces and nephews, great and great-great’s. Stoney was “Uncle” to them all! “Uncle’s” love and knowledge of the outdoors will continue to live through them by the “Tales” he has shared with them.

            A Celebration of Stoney’s Life will take place on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the East Side Tabernacle, 958 E. Elm St, Farmersville.
