Ronald W. Young

William Ronald Young was born October 1, 1942, in Jamestown, New York, to parents Paul and Helen Young.  When he was very young, his family moved to North Hollywood, California. He attended schools there, graduating from North Hollywood High School.  He later attended and graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a major in liberal studies and music.  Ron loved music and played the violin and sang.  He was signed with the Hollywood Christian Group and gave concerts in churches in the Los Angeles area. While at APU he met and married Marilyn Haury, his life partner for 54 years.  Ron taught school for several years in the LA area and later pastored a church in the San Gabriel Valley.  After moving to Ventura, he managed a Carrows Restaurant which had the highest sales volume. Ron is known for his many adventure stories and for his deep love for God and family.  He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, and children Timothy Young and Sheri, and Ronda Jordan and Wayne, and grandson Sylas,  his brothers Roger Young and Robert Young and their families, and many nieces and nephews. A service in his honor will be held March 11th, at 11:00 am at the Cornerstone Woodlake Church.
