Rodney Lott 1949-2025

Rodney Lott, 75, a longtime resident of Exeter Ca, passed away at his home in Visalia, Ca on May 30, 2025.

Rod was born on December 31, 1949, in Taft Ca, to parents Joel and Louise Lott.  Growing up, Rod’s family moved to Blythe, Corcoran, and even Sussex, NJ, before settling in Exeter, CA, where he graduated from Exeter Union High School in 1968.  After attending College of the Sequoias, he went on to earn a business degree from California State University, Stanislaus, in 1972.

Rod began his professional life with Continental Telephone Company before building his 30-year career as an insurance agent with American National and American General Life Insurance Company.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Rod enjoyed playing football, baseball, and basketball throughout his school years, later adding snow skiing, water skiing, and golf to that list.  He had a love for the outdoors and often spent time camping and hiking in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

Rod is survived by his brother Jerry Lott, three children, Devon (Rick) Navarro, Tiffany (Leon) Phillips, and Justin (Lisa) Lott, four grandchildren, Ricky (Stacey) Navarro, Hailey Navarro, Gage Navarro, and Kali Lott, two great-grandchildren, Rylan Navarro and Greyson Navarro, and numerous nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his brother Ken Lott and his parents Joel and Louise Lott.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the Exeter District Cemetery.  Following the service, there will be a reception at the Eagles Lodge in Exeter.
