REGULO REYNA

Regulo “Reggie” Reyna, 84, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022 at home. Born on November 1, 1937 in Agualeguas, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Jose† and Manuela†. He made his journey to the United States with his family in ­1940’s. They lived in Detroit, Michigan before coming to California.  Regulo worked in the Southern Pacific Railroad for ten years and was a foreman at Waterman Industry foundry for 27 years, retiring in 1998. 

On April 30, 1961, Regulo married the love of his life, Geneive Arevalo in Exeter, California. They lived in Exeter, CA until 1980. Then moving to Lindsay to build a home and ranch where they continued to raise their children: Irene, Teresa, Joe† and Ramon. For many years, family celebrations were held at the ranch creating so many memories. In 2011, Regulo and Geneive renewed their wedding vows and celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary surround by family and friends on the ranch. Regulo loved going to casinos in Las Vegas, Laughlin and the local area.  Traveling to Texas to see family and to the coast.  He raised his chicken and enjoyed barbequing. Regulo set the example of hardwork, kindness, loving and dedication to family for his children and grandchildren.  

Regulo is survived by his wife, Genevie, daughters, Irene R. Ramirez [Theo Del Real] of Tulare, CA, and Teresa Hernandez of Lindsay, CA and son, Ramon Reyna [Kelly] of Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Daughter in Law, Jennifer Reyna, Roseburg, OR. Grandchildren: Margaret Guzman, Stephanie Lutrick, Jose Nilo, Chris Reyna, Felicia Quintana, Joseph Reyna, Victoria Reyna, Vanessa Reyna, Ryan Reyna, Dylan Reyna, Gabby Reyna, Joey Reyna and many great grandchildren. Regulo is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Jose Luis [Irma] of Odessa. TX.  Pete [Helen] of Valley Center, CA. Rick Reyna [Cindi] of Visalia, CA. Graciela San Miguel, of Odessa, TX. Maria Banda and Minerva [Val] Lopez both of Visalia, CA. Along with many nieces and nephews who loved their Tio.

Regulo is preceded in death by his son Joe Reyna, mother, Manuela, father, Jose, stepmother, Priscilla, sisters Elodia and Margaret, and son-in-law, Filemon Hernandez.

 Visitation and Rosary will be held on Thursday, November 17th from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M., Rosary starts at 6:00 P.M., Smith’s Family Chapel  505 Pine Street, Exeter, Ca 93221                                                                                                                                                        Church service will be held on Friday, November 18th at 11:00 A.M. at Smith’s Family Chapel  505 Pine Street, Exeter, Ca 93221                                                                                                                                                                                               Graveside services will follow the Church Service at the Woodville Public Cemetery, 17203 Avenue 168 Woodville, CA 93257. A Reception to follow the Graveside Service at the Meitzenheimer Community Center    830 S Blackstone Street, Tulare, CA 93274
