Patricia  Ellen  Murphy  Boswell  Fry

     Patricia Fry, 91,  went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Magnolia Park Assisted Living.

     Patricia Ellen Murphy, better known as Pat, was born on May 31, 1931 in Albany, CA. To Ruth Marie (Robinson) and Walter Murphy.  Pat and her two sisters, Pauline and Jeanie,  were raised in their early years by their grandma Mary Ellen (Kavanaugh) and grandpa Robinson in Berkeley, CA.  In 1943, Pat and sister Jeanie moved to Visalia to live with their mother, Ruth Marie. 

     Pat attended Sierra Vista Jr. High and Visalia Unified High School, graduating in 1949.

     In 1950 Pat married Herbert E. Boswell of Ivanhoe, CA.  They bought Ruth Marie's house on the corner of Beechwood Ave. And Rd. 160.  Pat and Herb raised their three children, Larry, Sharon, and Ron at that location.

     Pat went to work for Pacific Bell Telephone Company in 1952 and worked there 34 years until she retired in 1986.  After retirement she worked as a volunteer at Kaweah Delta Hospital for several years.

     Sometime in the early 1950's Pat saw a dramatic change for the better in the lifestyle of her Father-in-Law, Roy Boswell.  She found out that Roy's change was the message of salvation through Jesus Christ.  She became a child of God at the Ivanhoe Church of the Nazarene.  Pat spread her love of the Lord to her three children and anyone else she could share it with.  Serving the Lord was a big part of the rest of her life. 

     Pat married Marvin P. Fry in 1979.  They were active in the Visalia Church of the Nazarene until poor health made it difficult to attend.  Marvin passed away in 2018.

     Pat is survived by her son, Larry and (Cindy) Boswell of Grants Pass, OR,

her daughter, Sharon and (Richard) Celaya of Visalia, and stepsons Chris and

(Pam) Fry and Kent Fry of Visalia. Her grandchildren, Scott, Mark, Jeremy, Bridget, Lucia, Ana, Eric, Micah, Joseph, JJ,  Mathew, and ten great

grandchildren.

     Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ruth Marie, her two husbands, Herb and Marvin, her two sisters, Pauline and Jeanie, her son Ron, and grandchildren Melissa, Chris, and John.

The family would like to invite all that knew Pat to her celebration of life on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 11:00 A.M., at the Visalia Church of the Nazarene,3333 W. Caldwell Ave., Visalia.  We will continue Pat's celebration of life with a meal and time of sharing at the same location.
