Lorena Gruhlke

Lorena was born to Peter G. and Gertrude Rahn in Mountain Lake, MN on 4/12/24 and passed away on 2/4/20.  She and her family lived in Minnesota until 1963, then moved to Santa Rosa, CA and subsequently moved to Visalia in 1974, where she remained until her passing.  She worked for Visalia Unified School District for 20 years where her occupation was Food Service Manager.  For the past few years she resided at Quail Park Assisted Living Facility in Visalia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Gruhlke, of 63 years; four brothers, Peter P Rahn, Henry Rahn, Ben Rahn, and Willard Rahn; two sisters, Marie Rupp and Olga Rahn.  She is survived by son Steven and wife Patti of Valencia, CA, son Russell and wife Karen Marie of San Jose, CA, daughter Marlene and husband Alan of Spicewood, TX and daughter Karen and husband John of Woodlake, CA; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, February 14, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Quail Park Lodge in Visalia.  Online condolences may be sent: www. Smithfamily chapel.com.
