Larry Jim Dodge of Tulare, CA entered Heaven, his forever home on Thursday October 19, 2023. He was born April 15, 1943 in North Bend, Oregon to Harley Eugene and Lucrecia Hope Dodge.
He was a loving husband, Dad, grandpa, great grandpa, beloved brother, uncle and true friend to many. His love for the Lord and his family were most important and his greatest joy. He loved sharing about our Lord and all that God had done and was doing in his life and others. He served as a greeter at church and looked forward to it every Sunday. He was a stranger to no one, always made people feel welcomed and loved. He touched so many lives.
He loved hunting and fishing with family and friends especially with his brothers, sons, grandsons. He also enjoyed working with wood, playing games and an ice cold beer.
Larry was a very hard worker, teaching his kids to always do your best and do it right the first time. He retired from Dairyman’s/Land O Lakes after nearly 35 years. After retiring he went to work for his son Allan at PCN doing what he loved talking to people as the logistics manager. He made life long friends over the phone. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Harley and Lucrecia Dodge, sister Yolanda Pantages and brothers: Donald, Carl and Melvin Dodge.Larry leaves behind his wife of 29 years, June; daughters: Sheri (Troy) Manning, Darinda (John) Kunkel, Renee (Tony) Durazo, sons: Allan (Arlene) Dodge and Patrick (Patty) Cassity. 15 grandchildren; Sara, Julia, Stephanie, Johnny, David, Marcus, Trevor C, Trevor D, Austin, Trent, Ty, Trey, Corissa, Seth and Marissa. 12 great grandchildren: Ellie, Natalie, Olivia, Nicole, Jake, Christopher, Jace, Emma, Tatum, Beckham, Tessa and Jack. Brother Harley Dodge, sisters; Geneva (Dennis) Conger and Lucrecia Wilder all of Reedsport, Oregon and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Larry will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 10am at Pipeline Church 11720 Ave. 264, VIsalia, CA 93277 Reception meal to follow
