Kelly Hunsicker was born October 25, 1942 in Superior, NE. He passed away on July 13, 2025, in Visalia, CA. Kelly was the oldest of 9 children: Royalyn Lang (Bob), Rhonda Miner (Richard), Keith Hunsicker (Gayle), Reynelda Schueler (Joe), Roxine Etzemiller, Kevin Hunsicker, Kim Rieke, and Kip Hunsicker, who died at birth. Kelly attended school in Nebraska. Upon graduating high school at 17, he enlisted in the Navy’s “Kiddie Cruise.” He served as a medic with the Marine Corp and was discharged the day before his 21st birthday. After leaving the service, he began working as a traveling salesman when he met his wife, Connie. They married on March 17, 1964. They had 2 children, Robert Lee Hunsicker and Majesty (Hunsicker) Pautzke (Mark).
For the majority of his career, Kelly was employed with CIT Financial Group. The job took him from Las Vegas, NV to Oroville, CA, followed by Chico, back to the midwest via Olathe, KS and eventually back to California. He retired at age 59 and began focusing on raising race horses. He and Connie enjoyed traveling to races until Connie’s passing in 2009.
After Connie’s death, Kelly met his current wife, Jean Bourn, who had also lost her spouse, Bob, in 2008. They married on October 15, 2011. Kelly introduced Jean to his passion, golf, and she re-introduced him to dancing; both of which they enjoyed together for many years.
Kelly had several grandchildren before meeting Jean and gained several more after. He loved and was proud of them all. His grandchildren are; Robert Emmett Hunsicker, Kellen Pautzke, Zane Pautzke, Conner Hunsicker, Zacary Bourn, Layla Smith, Ace Smith and Amelie Bourn. He was also welcomed into the Bourn family by Jean’s adult grandchildren, Cash Costa, Carson Mitchell and Callie Mueller.
Kelly impacted many lives and will be greatly missed. He returned to his Father’s arms when he accepted Jesus as his savior and now rests with his Heavenly Father
