Judy Pegg

Judith “Judy” Pegg, aged 84, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2026, in Visalia, California. Born on November 16,1941, Judy lived a life dedicated to her family and her work as a special education teacher’s aide for over 35 years.

     A graduate of Orange High School, she found her calling in supporting and nurturing students with special needs. She and her husband Lew moved to Exeter after he retired from the Navy. The family has lived in Exeter for many years. Judy was the beloved mother of four daughters Laurie King (Andrew), Lisa Lentz (Bobby), Julie Weaver (Glen), and Jodi Ito (Michael). She was a proud grandmother to eleven grandchildren—Katy, Ty, Amanda, Shelby, Trevor, Eric, Emily, Tristan, Harley, Trinity, and Mason and cherished her role as great-grandmother to Harper, Colbie, and Ryder. Her family brought immense joy to her life and were the center of her world. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Pegg. Together they built a loving home filled with warmth and care. Judy is survived by her brother, Jim Heaton (Becky) and sister Marilyn.

     A celebration of Judy’s life will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church located at 200 South E Street in Exeter, CA 93221. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor her memory and the lasting impact she had on those who knew her. Judy’s legacy of kindness and dedication will live on through the countless lives she touched. May her memory bring comfort to all who loved her.
