Irene McGill, age 95, of Farmersville Ca. died on May 16, 2025 at her home. Irene was born in Seminole, Oklahoma to Newton and Willie Hesson on November 24th, 1929. Irene came to California at the age of 12 in the back of a Ford Model T. On June 12th, 1946, at the age of 16, Irene married Tommie McGill and they made their home in Farmersville. Irene worked and retired from LoBue Brothers in Lindsay, Ca. where she packed and graded oranges for over 25 years. Irene was proceeded in death by her parents, Newton and Willie Hesson, husband Tommie McGill, her brother Clifford Jones, sister Pebble (Pat) Stevens, sister Melba Berry, brother-in-law Fred Berry, sons Gerald McGill, Ronnie McGill, and daughter, Ginger Baxter.
Irene is survived by her daughter, Kim Landers (husband, Frank Landers) her grandchildren Michael McGill, Mathew McGill (wife Kim) Todd Baxter, Sean Baxter, Travis Landers (wife Lexi Landers) and her only granddaughter Laurie Hulsey (husband Coy Hulsey) and her 11 great grandchildren - Mikayla McGill, Maddyson and Blaine McGill, Michael and Nevaeh Baxter, Claire and TJ Landers, Constantine and Ronan Bumb, Lee and Macie Irene Hulsey. Her brother-in-law Marvin (Steve) Stevens. As well as several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to her amazing primary care giver Rosie and her other care givers Jimena and Terrie.
Visitation for Irene will take place on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Smith Family Chapel, from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. A Graveside service will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. at the Exeter District Cemetery. Directly following the service will be a reception at the Eastside Tabernacle, 958 E. Elm St., Farmersville. All are welcome and family has asked for everyone to bring a side dish or a desert....
