Glenn Albert Williams

Glenn Albert “Sonny” Williams was born at home in Strathmore, California, on July 5, 1940. Although July 6 was recorded on his birth certificate as his official birthday, Glenn always knew July 5 to be the day his story truly began. Those two little quirks seemed like a fitting introduction to a man whose life was filled with a mischievous spirit, hard work, and unforgettable stories.

As a boy, Glenn had a talent for making something out of whatever he could find. He collected bicycle parts from the dump and built his own custom bicycles.

Glenn was a man who appreciated life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed a good hamburger or hot dog with a cold glass of milk, watching MASH*, bird hunting and spending time with family. He spent 37 years, from 1979 to 2016, driving for Knudsen/Kraft, where countless miles on the open road became a way of life. His love for the road extended beyond work, as he also had a lifelong passion for cars and motorcycles, with the 1962 Pontiac Hardtop, 1955 Ford Crown Victoria and his Honda Gold wing all holding a special place in his heart.

Some of Glenn's favorite memories were made on the open road, including motorcycle trips to Oregon and Wyoming. He filled his life with what mattered most—family, laughter, adventure, and memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

On July 9, 2026, Glenn was called home to be with the Lord with his son and daughter by his side at his home in Lindsay, California. Joining his mother, Allie Mae Williams; his father, Floyd Williams; and his brother, Leo Williams.

Glenn is lovingly survived by his wife, Jacque Williams; daughter, Dyan Davis; son, Michael Williams; sister, Shirley Rowell; grandchildren, Kayla (Brandon) and Cameron (Hunter); and cherished great-grandchildren, Trinity, Ryder, Brylee, Brynlee, Lawson, Trace, and Kade. His legacy of love, strength, humor, and quiet devotion to family will continue to live on through each of them.

A Memorial Service for Glenn will take place on Saturday, July 25th at Smith Family Chapel at 10:00 A.M.
