Evelyn Mae Barnett

Evelyn (Zeser) Barnett, age 93, of Exeter, California, passed away in her home among her loved ones on November 12, 2023.

Evelyn was born on April 23,1930 to Timothy and Olive Zeser in Exeter, California. Evelyn graduated from Exeter Union High School in 1948.

On December 31, 1948, Evelyn married the love of her life, Lyle Barnett. Evelyn and Lyle went on to have four children, Linda, Lonnie, Becky and Mitch.

Evelyn was a homemaker and citrus rancher.  She spent much of her time outdoors maintaining her meticulous yard and ranch, not to mention the entire Gill Road!

Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Lyle Barnett in 2008, her oldest son, Lonnie Barnett in 2019, sisters, Margaret Morris, Irene Awbrey, Dolores Morris and parents, Timothy and Olive Zeser.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Watkins and husband, Troy, daughter, Becky Armstrong and husband, Jim, son, Mitch Barnett and partner, Melinda Scott and daughter-in-law, Sabrina Barnett. Nine grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Evelyn will be dearly missed by her family and all that knew and loved her.

Services will be held at Exeter District Cemetery, 719 E. Marinette Ave., Exeter on November 17, 2023 at 10:00 AM. The family is hosting a lunch reception directly following the service at 137 Events, 137 South E Street, Exeter.
