Our Mother Esta Elaine Maze went to be with her lord and savior July 8, 2024. She was born in Yokohl Valley on January 20, 1930, to Bill and Mercene Jordan, she was the youngest of two children. She spent her childhood in Yokohl Valley until her parents moved to the family farm, outside Farmersville Ca.
Esta graduated from Exeter High School in 1947 and immediately entered the nursing program at St. Francis Hospital in San Francisco, Ca. She graduated nursing school in 1951 and returned to Exeter, Ca where she would call home until her passing. She worked as a nurse for over 50 years and as she would tell you she loved every minute of it.
She was married to her husband of 62 years Tommy Maze on November 22, 1952. Tommy passed away in September of 2015, just before their 63rd wedding anniversary. Together they would raise 2 children.
Esta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tommy, her daughter Kristine, and brother Dean. She is survived by two children: Michael Maze of Exeter, Stanley (Amanda) Maze of Indio, her 4 grandchildren Sean Fitzgerald, Jason (Ashley) Maze, Tyler Maze, and Annika Maze, and 6 great-grandchildren Brandy, Brailey, Alexandra, Taylin, Jaxon, and Kenzi. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Esta’s greatest love was her lord which she served faithfully for many years. This led her to many lifelong friends and family though the church.
A celebration of life will be held September 14, 2024, at 11am at the Exeter Church of God, with lunch to follow.
