Born in Rover, Arkansas on April 25, 1934 to John and Flossie Cooper, Elizabeth grew up in the country near Dumas, Arkansas. Elizabeth accepted Jesus into her life at age of 13 and was baptized in a river at the age of 14 years while attending a small country Baptist church. Elizabeth moved to Exeter, California on September of 1951. She met Charles Eugene Sayre in the summer of 1952 and married on January 30, 1953 in Las Vegas, Nevada while Charles was serving in the U.S. Navy stationed in San Diego, California. After Charles was discharged Elizabeth and Charles moved to Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado, before returning what would be there forever home of Exeter, California on December 22, 1966. They had three beautiful children together, Robert Eugene Sayre, Julia Sayre Grim, and Terry Anthony Sayre. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. at the Exeter Church of God.
