Edward Donlin Mullowney Jr., was born 10/11/1928 in Billings, Montana. He passed away of dementia related complications on 01/09/2025 at the age of 96 in Visalia, California, surrounded by family.
He was known as "Don" or "Donnie" by friends and family. He served in the Navy Reserves immediately after WW2, transferring to the Air Force in 1950 where he served as a bomber mechanic during the Korean War.
After his military obligation, he toured the western U.S., competing in AMA sanctioned motorcycle races, finishing 3rd in the nation.
In 1959, Don settled in Visalia, California, first as a motorcycle mechanic and then as an escrow officer. During this time he married Dorothy Cotton and they had one child, a son, named Eddie.
During the 80's, he became a general contractor, building houses in the Dinuba, Cutler and Orosi areas.
The late 90's and early 2000's found Don working as a draftsman for a construction company out of Hanford.
Don is survived by his sister Carol (Larry) Thompson and his son Eddie and daughter in law Debbie. He is also survived by his grandson Patrick (Sadie) and granddaughter Erin Haskill (Gunnar).
A Private Family Graveside will be held…
