David James Shandra

David James Shandra, aged 62 passed away on July 19, 2024 after a short battle with cancer.
David James Shandra was born in Glendale, California on June 1, 1962 to Angelo and Mary Shandra. In 1975 he moved with his family to Visalia, California where he graduated from Mount Whitney High School. In 1980 David joined the US Navy and became a corpsman. After his time in the military, David worked in the construction and transportation industry.
In 2012 David met the love of his life, Cindy Harker the woman who would eventually become his wife.
Those who knew David, appreciated his kind, fun-loving and caring nature. His sense of humor always had his Family and friends laughing. He, like his Mother, never knew a stranger and he would stop to help anyone in need. David would do just about anything for anybody. He loved his Family, friends and especially his dogs, Buddy, Jack and Boomer.
David will be lovingly remembered by his wife Cindy, daughter Teresa (Mel), their children, Keith, Alexander, Alyssa, Jaeden, Joshua, Ryan and Brandie and 5 Grandchildren. His son Brandon (Hailey). His brother Bob (Patty) and their children Laura (Jake), Anthony (Shaylyn) 2 granddaughters. His sister Anna (Joe) and their children Renee, Dominic, Vincent, Morgan and Payton and 4 Grandchildren.
David was predeceased by his parents Angelo and Mary and his oldest brother Mark.
There will be a Memorial Service for David on Monday, July 29th at 10:00 A.M. at Smith Family Chapel, 505 E Pine Street, Exeter, California 93221
