Christine Delores (Aker) Divine

Christine Aker Divine was born on November 6, 1932 in a house in Troudsdale/Shawnee Oklahoma area. She was Potawattami Indian, and her Great Grandmothers last name was Toupin. Christine was the daughter of Lucille (Trousdale) and C.T. Bill Aker. She came to the Tulare/Visalia area with her parents during the depression at the age of 5. She went to Visalia Union High School where she met the love of her life, Lonnie Keith Diving, and graduated high school in 1950. Christine and Lonnie were married 53 years before he passed away in 2004. They had two daughters and two sons, 6 Grandsons, 14 Great grandchildren, and 3 Great great grandchildren.

            Christine worked at the Tulare County Welfare Department as a typist, she worked at the USMC Naval Station in Mojave, CA. as a supply clerk, she also worked for Dr.’s Dungan and Rohn, urologist’s in Visalia, Christine worked as a courtroom clerk at the Visalia Municipal Court as a Legal Clerk at the Calaveras County District Attorney’s office and an Administrative Assistant at the Colorado Belle and Edgewater Hotels and Casinos in Laughlin Nevada. Christine also served on the Tulare County Grand Jury from 1979 – 1980.

            Christine loved her Grand, Great, and Great Great Grandchildren, she loved to garden, sew, knit, and loved to travel.

            She is survived by her brothers, Jack and Rufus Aker, her children, daughter Christie(Steve) Caldwell, son, Stanley(Teresa) Divine, daughter, Janice(George) Weaver and son, Rufus Divine. Grandsons, Late Michael Berry, Brian Berry, Joshua(Megan) Caldwell, Thomas(Cristina) Caldwell, George(Candice) Weaver, Brett(Shoshana) Weaver. Great Grandchildren, Taylor Berry, Late Randi Berry, Katelyn and Mason Berry, Carson and Monica Caldwell, Faith, Trenton, Braydon, and Colton Caldwell. Tyler(Haley) Hawkins, Hanah Weaver, Audrey(Jaron) Potter, Erik and Barrett Weaver. Great-great granddaughters, Peyton Hashimoto, Camilia Champlin and Harper Quinn Kirkman. Plus several nieces and nephews and her sister in Love, Norma Kay Line. Services will be private.
