Carol Nastrom-Nelson

Carol Nastrom-Nelson of Exeter passed away surrounded by her family on Sunday, June 19th at the age of 82 years. A daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother - a woman who loved well and was well loved by many.  Carol was the oldest of three children, born November 5, 1939 to Peter and Rose Sala in Belleville, Michigan. She was a graduate of Belleville High School class of 1957. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister Sylvia, her husband of 58 years Burke Nelson. She is survived by one brother Dr. Raymond Sala (Ret.) of Fort Myers Florida. Her son Richard Nastrom and wife Karen of Exeter, Ca. One grandson, Dalton Remy and Fiancee Jessica of Exeter, Ca. Three nieces, Dana Sala of Belleville, Michigan, Jami Lapointe of Cape Coral, Florida. Amber Nickens (Sala) of Cape Coral, Florida. and one nephew, Tim Sala of Freeland, Michigan. Also her beloved dog Rilee. Carols wishes were to be cremated. 

  A Celebration of Carol's Life will be held on Friday, July 1st at 10:00 A.M. at Smith Family Chapel. Carol will be laid to rest at the Bakersfield National Cemetery with her husband at a later date.
