Candelario "Candy" Becerra
Candy was born in El Centro California July 2, 1957, and passed away on July 7, 2020 in Colorado Springs, CO. He was 63.
Candy met and married his wife Liz in 1980 in Exeter and made their home in Farmersville where they raised their three children.
Candy was very involved with the community of Farmersville. He became a Volunteer Firefighter, and was planning commissioner twice, wrestling coach, ran the clock for the high school football games. Candy was very involved with his church and the knights of Columbus. He also helped the wrestling program in Exeter. Candy also helped start the Pop Warner program in Farmersville, but what he enjoyed the most was being around his grandchildren.
Candy is survived by his wife Liz, his sons Daniel and wife Dallas of Farmersville, Jonathan and wife Helen of Santa Ana, and Daughter Isabel and husband Eric of Colorado Springs, CO. His Grandchildren Dorian, Kotori, Serenity, Abilene and Daniel Jr. He's also survived by his brothers Miguel, Raymond, Jose, Tony, Peter, and sister Carmen. Candy is also survived by his Foster son Tyrone Taplin of Denver, Co.
A Rosary and Mass were held in Colorado in July, but another Rosary is being held in Exeter on October 1st 6pm at Smith's Funeral Home and Graveside Service on Friday Oct 2nd at 10am at Exeter Cemetery.
