Barbara Jean Cribbs

Barbara Jean Hirni Cribbs, 93, went to be with the Lord on April 21, 2021 while surrounded by family in her home.

Barbara was born in Oildale, California to Mark and Hulda Hirni on February 25, 1928. While Barbara is preceded in death by her husband Carl, the day of her passing would have been their 75th wedding anniversary.  Barbara’s greatest love was God; she always walked with Jesus.  She loved her family, horses, and long hikes in Hartland, where she spent much time with her family and friends. Barbara was known for her beautiful calming spirit, infectious laugh, and welcoming personality.  Her love for others was genuine and powerful.  Barbara was a role model who was loved and adored by all.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl Benton Cribbs, her daughter Linda Louise Cribbs, and her sister Gloria Gay Hirni Crow.  She is survived by her brother, Mark (Mickey) Hirni; her children: Charles Cribbs and wife Carol Cribbs, Karen Strable and husband Jim Strable, James Cribbs and Bonnie Sario; nine grandchildren, and nineteen great grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements by Smith Family Chapel in Exeter.  The viewing will be held at Smith Family Chapel on April 26th from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.  Graveside Services will be held at the Exeter District Cemetery on April 27, 2021 at 10 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Exeter Methodist Church, 148 North D.
